GTP offers different services for transporting all types of goods – complete, partial, general cargo – using various distribution channels.
In the entire operating cycle, transport is the phase requiring the longest times, but thanks to the large number of journeys carried out daily, GTP is able to fulfill the promise of rapid deliveries on the territory:
Transfer of goods from one point to another by means of the same loading unit or the same road vehicle until final arrival at the destination. Road transport is used as much as possible for short distances.
Rail transport is favoured when large quantities of goods over long distances need to be moved. A choice that combines different needs, first of all reducing the impact of transport in terms of polluting emissions.
Combined transport foresees the use of loading units on at least two different means of transport. Wherever possible, GTP embraces the European Union policy of combined road-rail transport.
With a view to the sustainable urban logistics, the company also has 10 electric vehicles, which can enter ZTL (Restricted Traffic Zones), which are now present in almost all Italian cities. Electric vehicles allow you to make deliveries that are fast, safe and … clean!
